We performed our prototype Habitat Theatre
as part of Driving the Human
from October 15th - 17th at Radialsystem Berlin
as one of 21 selected projects.
The prototype spoke about our methodology of site-specific trans-disciplinary research and the im/possibilites of offering non-human beings a stage - metaphorically and actually!
The installation in the Beehive offered a pedestal for the main protagonist of our presentation: a pile of soil that travelled all the way from Entlebuch Switzerland to Radialsystem Berlin - in an aquarium, on bus and train, into the main hall of the festival.

On three evenings it performed together with us on stage during a performative presentation of our prototype. Theatrical speech, embodied dance and videographic scenery tried to make it speak and respond, but in the end we had to give up: the conclusion is that we have to create a territorial theatre, a theatre that goes towards the territory rather than trying to bring the territory onto the classical stage.
Have a look at the recorded live-stream!
